There were loud bangs and screams coming from the other side of the door. Miki took a step back in fear and Tillie shot up from her chair. "I'll be right back Miki." Tillie spoke and stepped through the door, quite literally. Miki hesatantily walked to the door and closed her eyes, taking a deep breath and opening them again. She saw an orb walking to her room, each orb it past disappearing. She gasped when Tillie came back through the door. "Miki! Get under the desk!" Tillie erged. Miki did as she was told. Right when she got under the desk the door flew off the wall, and a girl stood in the door way. Miki flinched when the girl looked around. The girl had blazing red eyes that seemed to glow, her hair was syrup brown color and reached just past her shoulders. She looked at Miki under the desk and Miki whimpered. The girls eyes stopped wandering and became less intense as a smile crept across her lips and she moved over to the desk. "It's okay." She spoke in a voice like an angel, reaching her hand to the young frightened girl. "We're gonna leave. We're gonna be okay." Miki's eyes widened as she looked at the girl. "We-we're going out-outside?" She spoke in her cracked and broken voice, taking the girls hand. The girl laughed in response. "Yeah, We're going outside..." 


"Come on!" The brown haired girl called to the other one from the hall. The younger of the two stepped through the door way where the big metal door once was. She gasped and covered her eyes, the older girl looked confused and looked around the hall and her eyes widened. "Oh... Yeah, I guess I made kinda of a mess..." She looked down to not look at the blood covered walls. "I had to..." She mumbled to herself and took the younger girls hand, leading her out of the hall to the exit. This was it, Their new lives were just beyond those doors. They both took a deep breath in, looking at each other. "You ready?" The older girl asked, Miki simply nodded in response. The older girl reached for the door. "Wait!" She was stopped when she heard the younger girl shout. "Wh-what's your name?" Miki asked shakily. The other girl smiled. "What do I look like to you?" She laughed looking at Miki as she took a step back. They stood in silence for a moment until the older girl broke it. "Well?" The light browned haired girl shuffled awkwardly in place. "W-well..." She thought for a moment. "Maria?" She said quietly looking at the older girl, gauging her reaction. "Maria? I like that..." She smiled. "If I'm Maria, who are you?" "I'm Miki." Miki said in a steady voice for once. "Miki and Maria." She continued, looking into the other girls eyes and nodded. Maria opened the door and the sun light broke up the dark and lit up the room. Miki's eyes widened as she took a step outside the door, instantly shielding her eyes from the light. The sun felt so good on her skin, and the breeze sweeping by made her smile. Maria ran into the grass and shouted. "Come on, Miki!" She opened her arms wide, grinning. Miki ran toward her but stopped and the edge of the sidewalk. "Miki?" Maria asked, concerned. "Have you... Have you never been outside before?" Miki looked up and nervously nodded. Maria looked down in anger and sadness. Meanwhile Miki slowly dipped her toe on the grass and smiled putting her whole weight on it. Her smile grew and she laughed. Maria looked up and smiled, opening her arms again. "You coming?" She asked the little girl, who nodded in response, running into the other girls arms. They joined hands and ran away as fast as they could, laughing and jumping the whole time.
Miki and Maria escape!
